Playing Cash 3 in Mississippi requires you to pick numbers, a play type and a wager amount. There are even a couple more selections to make. The step-by-step guide below outlines exactly what you need to do.
Drawings take place at 2:30 p.m. and 9:30 p.m., with the winning numbers available around half an hour later.
Specify whether you want to enter the Midday draw, the Evening draw or both. In the Multi-Draw section, you can also play up to seven consecutive drawings.
Choose how you want to play – Exact Order, Any Order, Exact or Any Order, or a Combo. The method you choose impacts on what prize you can win.
Pick three numbers from 0 to 9. You can either mark one digit from each of the three columns on your playslip, or get a Quick Pick if you want a random selection.
If you’re playing an Exact Order wager or an Any Order wager, you can decide whether to pay $0.50 or $1 per play. Exact/Any Order plays, and Combo plays, are fixed at $1 per wager.
Say ‘Yes’ to Fireball if you want to add this optional extra to your ticket. Playing Fireball doubles the cost of a play.
Make sure to buy your Cash 3 tickets before the next draw takes place, then keep hold of them so you can check the results after the numbers have been announced.
Go to the Fireball page to learn more about how this feature works. Remember that you’ll need to add it to your ticket when you make your purchase. You cannot wait until the draw takes place to see if it would be beneficial.
There are four different play types you can choose from in Cash 3 - Exact Order, Any Order, Exact/Any Order, and Combo. Find out more below, along with examples for each one.
Apart from Exact Order plays, the rest can either be termed 3-Way or 6-Way, depending on which numbers you pick. A 6-Way wager has three unique numbers, while 3-Way wagers have two digits that are the same out of three.

---|---|---|---|
Exact Order | Your chosen numbers must match the winning numbers exactly, with every one in the correct position | 789 | 789 |

3-Way Any Order | Two of your three numbers are the same and the other is unique. They can appear in any of three possible orders | 464 | 464, 446 or 644 |

3-Way Combination | Costing $3 in total, you win the Exact Order prize if any combination of your three numbers is drawn | 771 | 771, 717 or 177 |
Exact Order/6-Way Any Order | The cost is set at $1, half of which goes on an Exact Order play and half on an Any Order. You can win both parts of the wager or just the Any Order portion | 345 | 345 for an Exact/Any Order win, 354, 435, 453, 534 or 543 for an Any Order win |
Exact Order/3-Way Order | Two of your three numbers are the same and the cost is $1. Win by matching the numbers exactly and/or in any order | 669 | 669 for an Exact/Any Order win, 696 or 966 for an Any Order win |
